Bubba Bike Journal

THE BUBBA BIKE BUILD-OFF

Chapter 1:  The Birth of the BUBBA GLIDE
Bubba came to Greenie and said, “Let’s build another bike.”  Greenie asked, “What do you have in mind?”  As Bubba walked around the showroom walking from bike to bike, he says, “I like this one. . .ooh, look at this one!”  He was like a kid in a candy store. Finally he says, “Greenie I trust you, surprise me.”  So at this point Greenie got together with B.T. (the Service Manager) and “Tree” (the Master Tech) and burned the motorcycle oil until the wee hours of the morning. “We now have a great concept,” Greenie says to himself.  This marks the beginning of the Bubba Bike image.  So stay tuned and keep your ear to the street and listen for the rumble. Coming soon to a rocky street corner near you. . .
Tune in each week as we update the progress of the Bubba Bike

This week “Tree” disassembled the Bubba Bike to its bare skeletal frame.  Various parts will be sent off to be powder-coated.  The tank and  front and rear fenders will be sent off to Attitude Custom Painting for a sweet custom paint job.  The windshield will be kept off and the saddlebags will be replaced.  The spokes will be diamondized and the handlebars, console, and pipes are being custom ordered.  It’s a little bit of a wait, but more is still to come!

We are still waiting for various parts to be powder-coated and for Attitude to finish their paint job.  In the meantime, “Tree” has been assembling the wheels for this HOG.  Pictured above you will find one wheel that “Tree” has put together and the set up for the other one.  A master of his craft, “Tree” is doing what he can to the bike while everything else is being worked on.  Stay tune because once eveything is rolling, there will be alot more pictures to see!

We have gotten all the parts back that have been powder-coated.  The wheels have been put together and the bike is beginning to look like a bike again.  This week we have been putting all the powdercoated parts on the bike and putting the wheels and the front-end back together.  We should be getting in the our painted parts from Attitude Custom Painting.  This is the finishing touch so the bike will be completed next week.  Stay tuned for the final stage!

The Bubba GLIDE is nearly complete!  We have received the paint set from Attitude Custom Painting.  We are putting everything together and this bike will be finished by next week!  Thank you Attitude Custom Painting for providing the painted parts.  Be sure to tune in for the final installment of the Bubba Bike Journal.  We will be revealing the final product.   For more pictures of the Bubba GLIDE click here!  Thanks for tuning in and don’t miss next week!
